Welcome to Digital-Guitars UK.
I returned back to playing guitar and teaching again in my 50's after taking a 20 year break.
Moving to digital effects units such as the Headrush and Boss GT units works for me now and haven't missed carrying around the traditional Amp and Cab or Combo amp along with several pedals between gigs etc...
I'm also headless guitar user now which works really well for playing live and teaching etc...
